Ages: All ages. 5 years and up
How Long/Frequency: Lessons are once a week for 30 minutes. Longer lessons can be arranged (ie. 45 minutes or an hour) if the student so desires. For advanced students this allows for more time to work on advanced concepts.
No contract or "commitment" is required for lessons.
All lessons are taught on month to month basis.
The Piano Specifics
The goal of our piano instruction is always to help a student learn and get to a point that they want to get to, while making sure all the important things are covered.
Piano lessons may consist of the following....
- Learning to read music
- Basic to advanced piano technique
- "Classical" music - like Chopin or Debussy
- Contemporary piano songs (Beatles/Billy Joel/Coldplay/etc)
- Playing by ear/chording
- Music Theory as it applies to Piano Playing
- and....whatever songs/styles the student wants to learn (as their abilities permit)
We are all about making learning fun while still focusing on progressing. Piano is a great instrument to learn as it's concepts will help on most other instruments you decide to pick up. Not only being fun, learning it is a great investment in your musical future.
What are people saying about Jammin Music Studios?
Brandon a year ago. He loves it. She keeps it fun and he stays interested. Once he has a good understanding of music, he will add guitar lessons from Joey. I love listening to the way the teachers at Jammin' Music Studios interact with their students. I refer any friend here who is looking to start their child in music, whether it be Piano, Guitar, voice, or what other teachers Joey adds to the already amazing crew."
Ruth and I take piano lessons from Melina Kastle. I think My teacher is awesome because she lets us play fun games and teaches fun music and does duets with us. I love my teacher!"
